I think I’m still on a high from Saturday night! Now it’s time to tell you all how this all relates to my future.
When I started this blog, the first few posts were about my journey as an aspiring professional poet. Yes, I sing, I play a couple of musical instruments, I act, AND I dance. I’m not bragging; however, I am more than aware of my talents and I like to use them from time to time. If you don’t use it, you’ll lose it. The Arts is where my heart is, but I’ve always felt a little too hesitant to step out on faith and actually pursue a career in it for fear of being unsuccessful.
I know that everybody has to start somewhere. I had the opportunity to get signed to Real Life Muzic and let it pass me by. Well, I don’t think that’s really where God wanted me anyway (since they disbanded and started all over with new members…). Pastor Kim Burrell spoke about Open Doors and I truly feel like God is about to open doors in ways that I have never expected. He is going to use my talents in ways that I can’t even imagine! It was just an overwhelming feeling to be in the presence of such musicality, talent, and anointing! That’s where I want to be! I’m not saying that I want to be in the spotlight, but that is my environment, my element!
Have you ever just had a passion for something so strong that you just couldn’t do without it?! Like, if you had to give it up, or stop doing it, then you just wouldn’t be yourself? You may not be the BEST at it, but you give your best every time that you do it? It’s like you just want to keep doing it because you know that you’re constantly grooming and perfecting it? And when you’re around other people with that same passion you feel like they’re your family? If not, YOU’RE MISSING OUT HONEY!!
I’m going to continue writing and I’m to keep grooming my talents and speak these open doors into existence! Will you take this journey with me and support me?!
